Data ware house modeling is a complicat e d task, which involves knowled g e of business process, as well as familiarity with operatio n al information system structure and beha v ior. While it is universally recognized that a DW leans on multi dimensional model, there is suggested to contract a data ware house conce p tual model, My analysis of these methods indicate that they are limited in their applic a bility to model large scale systems, as they require acqu a intance with the business process and ability to s elect relevant transaction al eliminate the technic a l and reporting difficulties experienced with the classic star schemes and snow flake. The objective of Meta data strategy is to provide a blueprint that will enable efficient stronger , mainten a nce, and delivery of timely and accurate business and technic a l Meta data of the organiz a tion in buildi n g a ro b ust data warehouse environme n t ,meta data is considered to be a critical success factor .This work will address meta data requirement and a proposed solution for effective metadata mana g ement and deploy m ent /delivery at organiz a tion .The purpose of data quality method o logy is to validate the quality of specific business applic a tion includi n g the source of these business applic a tion and the process that feed the business applic a tion of the EDW environme n t applic a tion are worthless .Business applic a tion vend o rs have great produ c ts to sell ,offering simplified access to complex comput a tion models and enormo u s stores of corporate data, yet they often deliver below expectati o ns. This work will help to overcome t h is limitation

Study to compare the effectiveness of intravaginal misoprostol alone with combined use of intravaginal misoprostol and intracervical foley’s catheter for termination of mid trimester pregnancy

Background: The main concern of obstetrician is to provide the most effective and safest regimen for mid trimester termination of pregnancy which combines the shortest expulsion interval with least side effects. The combination of intravaginal misoprostol and intracervical Foley catheter for second trimester pregnancy termination has been described in previous studies with conflicting results. Hence gap exists in literature and not adequate evidence available so this study is undertaken. Methods: A prospective and interventional randomized comparative study was conducted in the department of obstetrics and gynecology, tertiary care centre, New Delhi. A total 60 pregnant female of 14 to 20 weeks of gestation who were admitted for termination of pregnancy due to any indication included in the study. Patients were divided into two groups (30 patients in each group). Group A (misoprostol and foleys combination group) and Group B (misoprostol group). Quantitative variables were compared with unpaired t-test/Mann-whitney test (when the data sets were not normally distributed) between the two groups and qualitative variables were compared by using chi-square test/Fisher’s exact test. Results: The mean induction to abortion interval was 18.31±1.95 hours in the female where misoprostol and foleys combination was used and 21.90±2.62 hours in the women where misoprostol alone used group. Authors found a significant reduction in induction to expulsion time in misoprostol and foleys combination group as compared to misoprostol alone group for mid-trimester termination of pregnancy. Total required dose of misoprostol use for termination of pregnancy was significantly less (p 0.008) in the women where both misoprostol and foleys was used than misoprostol alone. Conclusions: With the use of intracervical Foley’s catheter, the duration from induction to expulsion of abortus gets shortened and required dose of misoprostol is also reduced without any significant increase of side effects

Wire spark erosion machining of Ni rich NiTi shape memory alloy for Bio-Medical applications

Abstract : The application of NiTi shape memory alloys are growing day by day in biomedical industry. These materials present inherent problems when undergoing conventional machining processes during manufacture of bioimplants. Conventional machining processes require high consumption of energy and resources, and assistance of post processing operations to make high quality implants of shape memory alloys. Unlike conventional methods, nonconventional methods are capable to eliminate the need for post processing amongst other advantages and thus prove to be the most economic means of producing biomedical implants..

Machinability analysis and hybrid optimization during wet turning of SS304 using coated tools

Abstract : In this work, SS304 has been machined using tungsten carbide tool inserts coated with multilayer of TiN/TiAlN under conventional wet cooling condition. Experiments have been conducted based on Taguchi robust technique with L9 orthogonal array. Effect of three important machining parameters cutting speed (CS), feed (F), and depth of cut (DC) on machinability aspects i.e. surface roughness (Ra) and material removal rate (MRR) have been investigated. Further, grey relational technique integrated with genetic algorithm (GA) was used for simultaneous optimization of MRR and Ra. It was observed that the optimized machining parameter setting for MRR and Ra is CS: 170 m/min; F: 0.2 mm/rev; and DC: 0.5 mm. The optimum values of MRR and Ra are 81.39 g/min and 3.14µm respectively
